Dear Friends of Audio Research,
We recently informed you that Audio Research was in dire straits. Due to management-level concerns, Audio Research voluntarily opted to transfer its assets to a receiver in early April 2023. Behind the scenes, however, it was business as usual. We received ordered products and parts, plenty of support was provided and we worked on a software improvement for the I50. Now we can report that Audio Research has the wind in its sails again with a new owner and continues under the same trusted course!
Of course, these kinds of things are never fun. They cause unrest and uncertainty. At the same time, it is not surprising that in 53 years of High Fidelity there is also an occasional dip. However, Audio Research’s choice was voluntary and with one goal in mind – to continue building the most beautiful audio products with a new owner at the helm. The new owner has been found in Valeria Cora, founder and CEO of Acora Acoustics Corporation. A specialist loudspeaker manufacturer from Canada with a huge history and – more importantly – experience in the production and promotion of High End Audio. Valeria Cora will lead the way for the future with his independent company AR Tube Audio Corporation, in close cooperation with the established Audio Research team. Committed to continuing the direction set forth 53 years ago by William Z. Johnson.
Audio Research’s goal is simple but deep-rooted: to develop uncompromising audio products while preserving Audio Research’s intrinsic values that are synonymous with this prestigious brand and its wonderful musical character.
Under the passionate leadership of Valerio Cora, while retaining core individuals such as Warren Gehl and Dave Gordon – men who have had Audio Research running through their veins for years – that is exactly what will happen. We are therefore confident that Audio Research, as one of the most iconic High End Audio brands, will continue to spoil us with the most beautiful products. Loyal to the man it once started with, embracing innovation and technology, but above all real Audio Research!
