Yes! We dare to say it: in the price range between € 750,- and € 2.500,- per speaker pair, the competition sometimes seems to be mainly about appearance. One has a soft dome, the other a hard one, one is high-gloss black and the other has a luxurious veneer finish. JBL is really different here. The speakers are sleek and solidly built, the ‘dark walnut’, close-to-black wood grain version looks discreet, but the high-performance HDI horn with real compression driver is far from ordinary. This unique tweeter technology is the foundation of JBL. The JBL Studio 6 series includes 10 models for both the pure music lover and film fanatic. Two bookshelf models in the form of the Studio 620 for € 729,- per set, and 630 for € 899,- per set. Three floor standing models; the slim dual 6.5” Studio 680 for € 1.798,- per set, the Studio 690 with double 8” woofer for € 1.998,- per set and the size-does-matter Studio 698 for € 2.198,- per set. For surround applications, the Studio 6 series has 2 Center Speaker models, a compact double 5.25″ Studio 625C for € 569,- and the slightly less compact Studio 665C with four 5.25″ woofers for € 999,- The Studio 610 is a fantastic On-Wall speaker, perfect as a Surround speaker in a multi-channel setup and has a set price of € 849. A JBL subwoofer cannot of course be left behind, the Studio 6 series has 2 impressive active models; the 10″ and 500 Watt strong 650P for € 999,- each and the mighty, 1000 Watt 660P with 12″ woofer for € 1.199,- each.
With the Studio 6 series we are introducing an unprecedented piece of JBL technology in a cool speaker line with – in our opinion – bizarre price/performance ratio.
